And if you haven’t actually heard it, you probably need to.

Dead Kennedys - Chickenshit Conformist
I want to play this song to every slam-dancing faux-hardcore kid ever.

“Buying New Soul” is surprisingly kind of easy to play contrary to what I had believed even when you’re slightly drunk and have no real life guitar skills aha cool
Compulsively reblogging every Deanna audio post because her voice is still beautiful.

Porcupine Tree - Half-Light
Such a pale light. Such a long night.
Pick up that key. Drop your gaze in your coffee.
Is it me? Do I look beautiful in the half-light?
John Wesley is a member of Porcupine Tree, I don’t give a flying fuck what Steven says.
Also this is the most beautiful thing you’re going to listen to today.

Biffy Clyro - Buddy Holly (Weezer cover)
Because Biffy Clyro used to play kick-ass post-hardcore and always made covers TRULY their own.
Don’t expect this to sound much like the original at all.
“No Excuses” by Alice In Chains
“It’s alright, there comes a time, got no patience to search for peace of mind, laying low, want to take it slow, no more hiding or disguising truths I’ve sold…”

Cult of Luna - Back to Chapel Town
Majority rule says post-metal, so here’s some Cult of Luna. I’m beginning to like them even more than I like Isis, to be honest. Isis may have far better, denser, heavier production, but if you take production out of the equation, Cult of Luna are miles ahead in terms of songwriting. To me, at least.
Not that I don’t love Isis.
But seriously.
Sunn O))) - It Took The Night To Believe
honestly
this is most likely the fastest Sunn song ever
